Appointments are usually available
within 24 hours, and an initial consultation will normally last
around 15 minutes. Dermatology appointments are usually available
weekly and a first appointment will normally take around 1 hour.
Referral letters, radiographs,
ECG's should be brought with the client to an appointment or can be
posted in advance.
- We would advise that the patient
is not fed in the morning but still has access to water.
- Patients attending a dermatology
referral should ideally have current therapy withdrawn as
follows:
- Steroids - Stop for 1 month
Antihistamines - Stop for 2 weeks EFA supplements - Stop for 1
week
A full written report will be
posted to the referring vet within 48 hours, and findings may also
be discussed over the telephone.
