Forest Veterinary Centre is an RCVS accredited veterinary hospital based in Epping, Essex, with branches in Woodford Bridge, Harlow and Isle of Dogs. We have a large first-opinion client base and offer referral services to other practices throughout the South East.
Our story
Forest Vets began life as ‘Burley and Swainsbury’ in 1984 in Woodford Bridge. The current Epping site was built in 1996, allowing us to gain hospital status, and has since been fitted with advanced diagnostic technology including CT and MRI. The Harlow branch was established in 2004 and in 2016 we became one of the first practices in the UK to offer radioactive iodine therapy for feline hyperthyroidism at this site.
In 2018 Liz Parris and Sophie Newick took over as clinical directors and have continued to grow the practice. In September 2020 we opened our out of hours hub to support smaller practices locally and brought in a dedicated night team of vets and nurses to care for our inpatients.
In 2023 we made the move to become part of the Linnaeus Group, bringing us even closer links with nearby referral centres, and took on our Isle of Dogs clinic.
Our amazing team has a wealth of experience and includes RCVS-recognised advanced practitioners, allowing us to offer the best care for your pet.
