There are many products available for flea, tick, and worm prevention in cats and the choice can be confusing. It is still true that no one product does everything.

Below is some information on the products we currently stock at Forest Vets:

BRAVECTO

what form is it? A spot-on applied every 3 months
treats:  Fleas, ticks, and ear mites
use from:  11 weeks of age and over 1.2kg
use with:  Milpro worming tablet or Profender spot-on every 3 months
special note(s): Has not been tested in pregnancy and lactation

PRINOVOX

what form is it?  A spot-on applied monthly
treats: Fleas, ear mites, notoedric mange, lungworm, heartworm, roundworms, and hookworms
use from: 9 weeks of age and over 1kg
use with: Droncit spot on/tablet or Profender spot-on every 3 months. Seresto Collar and a tick remover for ticks.
special note(s): Do not bathe for at least 2 hours after application or apply to wet coat. Has not been tested in pregnancy and lactation.

CREDELIO

what form is it? A chewable tablet given monthly
treats: Fleas and ticks
use from: 8 weeks of age and over 0.5kg
use with: Milpro worming tablet or Profender spot-on every 3 months
special note(s): Should be either with food or within 30 minutes of feeding. Has not been tested in pregnancy and lactation.

NEXGARD COMBO

what form is it? A spot on applied monthly
treats: Fleas, ticks, tapeworms, roundworms, feline lungworm and ear mites
use from: 8 weeks of age and 0.8kg of bodyweight
use with: No other product needed
special note(s): Has not been tested in pregnancy and lactation
