A local primary care veterinary practice has completed its move to a new site and is welcoming pets again.
Forest Veterinary Centre’s purpose-built clinic in Harlow marks a significant investment in the local community.
Based at Windsor Place in Harlow, the practice has relocated down the road from its previous Eastwick Road site. The team is led by lead vet Alex Shutes, who will be familiar to many local pet owners.

Kerry Jackson, an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse, recently joined Forest Veterinary Centre as its practice manager and is supporting the team at Harlow.
The clinic has been designed to create a warm, welcoming environment to keep pets calm and happy during their visit. This includes separate waiting areas and wards for cats and dogs, plus five comfortable consultation rooms to give patients and their owners the space and privacy they need.
The new site has been equipped with new technology so the Forest team can offer a variety of suitable treatment options for pets. This includes onsite CT, X-ray and imaging facilities, a radio-iodine hyperthyroid cat treatment unit, two surgical theatres and a dental suite.
The investment by Forest, which is part of veterinary group Linnaeus, ensures a wide range of procedures and treatments can be offered onsite, reducing stress for pets and providing peace of mind for their owners.
Kerry said: “We are incredibly proud to be investing in Harlow with our new clinic, which will enable us to continue providing high quality care to pets within our community.
“Our vision is to create a welcoming hub where pet owners feel fully supported through every stage of their pets’ lives. As pet owners ourselves, we understand the strength of the bond between animals and their families, which is something we want to support here in the Harlow community.
“From puppy and kitten advice to nutritional guidance and senior pet care, we can also provide the support and preventative care that helps pets to live longer, healthier and happier lives.”
To celebrate its relocation and reopening in Harlow, Forest Veterinary Centre will be hosting an open event in the new year. The event will allow pet owners and the community to enjoy a tour of the facilities, meet the practice’s dedicated team, enjoy some family-friendly activities and learn more about pet care.
Forest Veterinary Centre, which also has practices in Epping, Woodford Bridge and Isle of Dogs, aims to provide premium pet health care across Essex and the surrounding areas.
