There are many products available for flea, tick, and worm prevention in dogs and the choice can be confusing. It is still true that no one product does everything.

Below is some information on the products we currently stock at Forest Vets:

NEXTGARD SPECTRA

what form is it? A chewable tablet given monthly
treats: Fleas, ticks, sarcoptic (fox) mange, demodectic mange, lungworm, heartworm, eye worm, roundworms, some hookworms, and whipworms
use from: 8 weeks of age and over 2kg
use with: Endogard worming tablets every 3 months for tapeworms and hookworms
special note(s): Has not been tested in pregnancy and lactation

PRINOVOX

what form is it? A spot-on applied monthly
treats: Fleas, sarcoptic (fox) mange, demodectic mange, ear mites, biting lice, lungworm, heartworm, oesophageal worm, bronchial worm, eye worm, roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms
use from: 7 weeks of age and over 1kg
use with: Endogard worming tablets every 3 months for tapeworms. Seresto Collar and a tick remover for ticks.
special note(s): Frequent bathing or swimming may reduce efficacy. Has not been tested in pregnancy and lactation.
